Are you a practicing music therapist? Do you find yourself struggling to invest in your own professional growth? Unsure of what work-life balance looks like for you? Seeking to dig deeper into your work and yourself? Searching for support and/or guidance?
Clinical Music Therapy Supervision could be an invaluable resource for new and seasoned professionals, providing an empathetic, reflective, connecting, and empowering space to build insight, offload frustrations, and develop professional success moving forward.
We feel clinical supervision in the music therapy community is more necessary than many professionals realize. And we're not alone, according to the 2024 Final Report of the AMTA Commission on the Education and Clinical Training of 21st Century Music Therapists, they have recommended the requirement of ongoing supervision for MT-BC's during their first cycle of certification. Case conceptualization, ethical dilemmas, fatigue/burnout, work-life integration, career considerations, and whole-person wellbeing are vital elements for every healthcare professional (and non-healthcare professional). Depending on the acuity of your population/setting, this might be an unrealized, yet required component towards a more balanced path of self. certification.
The Collective Resonance Center provides clinical supervision to all music therapy professionals, regardless of specialty/population/setting, however we do specialize in mental health and psychosocial areas. Our clinical supervisors are board-certified music therapists, American Music Therapy Association members, have at least five years of direct clinical experience, meet the supervisor requirements of AMTA's National Roster Internship Guidelines, and hold advanced competencies in at least one specialized area.
Our current Clinical Music Therapy Supervisors:
Kevin R. Budd, MM, MT-BC
We offer individual, triadic, and group supervision sessions to meet the professional (and financial) needs of our colleagues.
We recognize that clinical supervision could be something professionals seek, however the reality of financial inaccessibility due to steep prices for this support is a significant barrier. The Collective Resonance Center does its best to challenge this limitation and offer (what we believe it be) affordable clinical supervision support without losing quality of services.
*Supervision Rates (50-minutes):
Individual Supervision: $75
Triadic Supervision (2 supervisees): $40
Group Supervision (3-5 supevisees): $30
Group Supervision (6-8 supevisees): $20
*Discounts are available for recurring supervision meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and bi-monthly)
We offer a free 10-minute phone/video consultation prior to beginning supervision services to make sure supervisees feel their needs are able to be met within the professional relationship.
Don't struggle on your own; reach out and start creating a space to truly thrive.
Join our bi-weekly (twice per month) peer group supervision! We want to improve accessibility of supportive resources for mental health-focused music therapists, therefore this peer supervision uses a PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN model.
Each peer group supervision has a maximum of 8 participants to ensure enough time and space is provided to each participant.
Pay What You Can ($0-10 per group)
